Entry Requirements

To be eligible to apply for an apprenticeship with S&B Automotive Academy, you must:

Have a suitable level of English and maths, preferably a minimum of GCSE Grade 3 (Grade D) or above in Maths and English, or an equivalent qualification.
Achieve an Initial Assessment result of Level 1 Middle or above.
Be applying for or already working in a job role relevant to the apprenticeship that provides sufficient opportunity to develop and demonstrate the knowledge, skills and behaviours required to achieve occupational competence.
Meet all apprenticeship eligibility and funding requirements.

To be considered for an apprenticeship, you must have GCSEs, Functional Skills or Key Skills at GCSE Grade 3 (Grade D) or above in English and Maths (or equivalent).
If your grades are below this, we’ll discuss your options for taking functional skills in Maths and/or English.
As well as this, predicated grades are accepted, and work experience or knowledge is beneficial but not essential.
Once you finish your apprenticeship, you’ll receive a Level 3 qualification in your chosen course.
